My Approach

I approach sessions primarily with an evidence-based “CBT” (cognitive behaviour therapy) framework which helps you identify, consider, and clarify your feelings and thoughts, and then decide on actions from there. I also often incorporate other helpful evidence-based approaches such as “Narrative Therapy”, “ACT” (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and “Humanistic Therapy” (Carl Rogers / Rogerian), because things like self-actualization and one’s values can be important. Additionally I am often upgrading my knowledge and skills in psychotherapy and counselling with books and courses, and enjoy sharing helpful information with my clients so as to further help them achieve their various goals.
